Batik is a craft that has high artistic value and has become part of Indonesian culture (especially Java) since long. 1. VICTORIA FORT

Victoria fort is a historical site located right in the center of the city of Ambon. The fort was built by the Portuguese in 1775 and subsequently taken over by the Dutch. Then the Dutch used this fort as a center of colonial government to dredge the Moluccas wealth in the form of spices.
In front of the castle there is the port that is used as a point inter-island sea transport. 4. CAKALELE TRADITIONAL DANCE SHOW

Cakalele dance is one of the traditional dances of Maluku that is still often presented and played by about 30 men and women.

Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (Indonesian: Bandar Udara Internasional Soekarno–Hatta) (IATA: CGK, ICAO: WIII) is the main airport serving the greater Jakarta area on the island of Java, Indonesia. The airport is named after the first President of Indonesia, Soekarno, and the first vice-president, Mohammad Hatta. The airport is often called Cengkareng by Indonesians. The airport's IATA code, CGK, originates from the name of the Cengkareng locality, a district situated to the northwest of the city.

Located about 20 km west of Jakarta, in Tangerang, Banten, Soekarno–Hatta airport began to operate in 1985, replacing the former Kemayoran Airport (domestic flights) in Central Jakarta, and Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport in East Jakarta. Kemayoran Airport has since closed. Halim Perdanakusuma is still operating, serving mostly charters and military flights. Terminal 2 was opened in 1992.

The land area of the airport is 18 km². It has two independent parallel runways separated 2,400 m connected by two cross taxiways. There are three main terminal buildings: Terminal 1 is for all domestic flights. Terminal 2 serves all international flights as well as all domestic flights. Terminal 3 Pier 1 is for domestic flights.

Terminal 1 and 2 are separated into 3 sub-terminals. Terminal 1A, 1B, and 1C are used for domestic flights by Indonesian airlines. Terminal 2D and 2E is for international flights. Terminal 2F is for domestic flights for Garuda Indonesia and Merpati Nusantara Airlines.

The airport was designed by Paul Andreu, a French architect who also designed Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. One of the major characteristics of Soekarno–Hatta airport is the incorporation of the local vernacular architecture into the design, and the presence of tropical gardens in between the waiting lounges. However, Soekarno–Hatta International Airport was noted for its beautiful landscaping: the airport was awarded the 1995 Aga Khan Award for Architecture.[1]

Soekarno–Hatta International Airport has 150 check-in counters, 30 baggage carousels and 42 gates. Each sub-terminal has 25 check-in counters, 5 baggage carrousels and 7 gates.

Angkasa Pura II is currently planning to build a new terminal with modern design features. Lawang Sewu, a building full of mystery

History of Lawang Sewu

For citizens of Central Java, the name of Lawang Sewu familiar. This is the name of an ancient building which is located right in the middle of the city of Semarang, precisely in the Tugu Muda. Called "Lawang sewu" (door thousand) for the Dutch heritage of the building is indeed a lot of doors.

Muaro enshrinement site is located in the village of Jambi Jambi Muaro, District Muaro Sebo, Muara Jambi. The distance from the capital of Jambi province around 40 kilometers. Maninjau Lake: The Legend of Bujang Sembilan

Maninjau Lake is a lake in the district of Tanjung Raya, Agam regency, West Sumatra province, Indonesia. The lake is located about 140 kilometers north of Padang, the capital of West Sumatra. Maninjau which is a volcanic lake is located at an altitude of 461.50 meters above sea level. Size Maninjau approximately 99.5 km ² and has a maximum depth of 495 meters. Cekungannya formed by the eruption of Mount Marapi. According to the legend in Ranah Minang, the existence of Lake Maninjau closely related to the story of Bujang Sembilan.
The lake was listed as the eleventh largest lake in Indonesia. Meanwhile, in West Sumatra, Maninjau is the second largest lake after Lake Festival which has an area of 129.69 km ² is located in two districts of Tanah Datar and Solok. At around Lake Maninjau have tens of tourism facilities such as five-star hotels.

The History of Maninjau Lake and Bujang Sembilan

Long ago, in an area in west sumatra, there is a very active volcano named Mount Tinjau. In one village at the foot of Tinjau's brothers lived ten people consisting of nine men and one woman. Ordinary citizens about their call Bujang Sembilan. These ten brothers are Kukuban, Kudun, Bayua, Malintang, Galapuang, Balok, Batang,Bayang, and the youngest man named Kaciak. After that, of the second Giran lifted his hand to the sky and praying. "My God! Please hear and grant our prayers. If we were really guilty, destroy our bodies in the water hot crater of this mountain. However, if we are not guilty, this mountain letuskanlah and curses Bujang Sembilan to fish!"

Indonesia has several traditions and customs and it is best if you know them beforehand. Some of them are:

- Even though hand shaking is deemed appropriate between men and women, bear in mind that a number of Muslim women prefer to introduce themselves to men by nodding their head, smiling, and clasping their hands without any physical contact.

- Traditionally, when you greet someone, both hands are used when shaking, without grasping.

- It is considered polite to make a phone call first before visiting.

- Shoes must be taken off before entering a house or place of worship like mosques.

- Usually drinks are offered to guests. It is polite to accept.

- When eating, receiving or giving something, always use your right hand. Right index finger should not be used to point a place, items or people. Use the right hand thumb and fold the remaining fingers to be more polite.

- Taking photographs of houses of worships is allowed, however permission should be asked first whenever possible, especially if you want to take pictures of the interior.

- Most Indonesian Muslims do not consume alcoholic drinks and pork.

- Hence, the tradition of proposing a toast to honor someone is not generally known.

TRAVEL TIPS

- Plan your budget and choose your destination carefully. Indonesia is vast—each region has its own quirks and possibilities. For instance, if you plan to have some adventure in rugged terrains, it’s advisable to come on dry season for rains might make your paths muddy.

Banda Aceh - The Mecca Veranda

Banda Aceh is one of the city and the capital of Aceh, Indonesia. The city was formerly named Kutaraja, and since December 28, 1962 its name was changed to Banda Aceh. As a center of government, Banda Aceh became the center of all economic activity, political, social, and cultural. Masjid Raya Baiturrahman
