Ambalat is vast sea block covers 15,235 square kilometers located in the Celebes Sea and Makassar Strait or near the extension of land border between Sabah, Malaysia, and East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The naming of the sea blocks is based on the interests and properties of sea exploration beneath the ocean, particularly in the oil fields. It does not block all the sea is rich in crude oil.
