Bandung City is the capital of West Java province. The city was anciently known as Parijs van Java (in Dutch) or "Paris of Java". Since lies in the highlands, Bandung was known as a cool place. This makes Bandung as one tourism destination. While the existence of public universities and many private universities in Bandung make this city known as one of the students in the Indonesian city.
Bandung City is located at an altitude of ± 768 m above sea level on average (mean sea level). Region north of Bandung is generally higher than the southern regions. The average altitude in the north is ± 1050 above sea level, while in the south is ± 675 above sea level. Bandung is surrounded by mountains that create a kind of hollow Bandung (Bandung Basin).
Bandung City confluence of two major rivers, the River Cikapundung and Citarum River and its tributaries which flow generally to the south and meet at the Citarum River. In such conditions, Bandung south are vulnerable to flooding problems.

For land transport option, many way are available. Buses, trains, or by car. By land You can reach Bandung within 2 hours(estimated by 150kms direct highway) or faster from Jakarta.
Malaysia, Singapore, and several countries has regular flight to Bandung. Besides international flight, Bandung's airport serve flights to and from other major cities in Indonesia, like Jakarta, Surabaya, Semarang, Denpasar, Sampit.
